Please regularly check this blog for latest stuff relevant to your learning.

This module is the second part of a two-part exploration of new literacies and the impact of the information and communication technologies on school library, classroom and curriculum changes. In this first part you will explore the teacher-librarian’s role in the integration of new literacies (with particular emphasis on information literacy) and current and emerging technologies in classrooms. In the second part of the module we will expand the concept of literacy to include emerging ideas such as digital literacy, social networking, information work, visual literacy, print literacy, media literacy, multiliteracy. We will also explore range of pedagogical practices and technologies that can be applied to promote development of these literacies. Emphasis will be placed upon a teacher-librarian’s roles to support subject teachers and students, and promote strategies for development of these literacies across the curriculum. Practical component of the module will engage the participating students in a design of learning activities that requires students to use technology and develop new literacies across the curriculum subject areas.
